Australian Red Sires in AI - August 2023 |
The attached document provides the current list of bulls available from Genetics Australia, Viking Genetics, AuzredXB, and ABS Australia with updated BPI's from the August ABV release.
Please note that prices are subject to change, and you should contact your local rep to confirm availability and discuss other bulls that you may want to use.
We would like to reminder everyone accessing this document that there have been some changes to how the ABV’s and index values of the Red Breeds are reported. In the past, all red breeds (Aussie Red, Illawarra, Ayrshire and Dairy Shorthorn) were calculated on the same base, but following industry requests, the ABV’s and indices for the red breeds are reported on separate bases, effective from December 2022.
We would also like to remind all of our Members, Friends and wider Community that the ARDB has a mentor program, which connects farmers that share an interest in breeding Aussie Red cows. Our mentors are more than happy to talk to other farmers and assist them in their breeding decisions or provide more information on the bulls, so if you would like to be put in contact with a mentor in your area, or a mentor that has a similar farming system to you, please contact us at info@aussiereds.com.au.
